The Hephaestus is a Muonionalusta meteorite ring set in brushed silver tungsten carbide, featuring an offset inlay carved from a solid block of genuine meteorite. Named for the Greek god of the forge, it pairs the two materials a smith would respect most: cosmic iron that formed over 4 billion years in space, and tungsten carbide — at roughly 9 on the Mohs scale, surpassed in hardness only by diamond.

Because the inlay is milled from a solid meteorite block rather than crushed fragments, each ring displays the metal's natural grain in an unbroken run — a pattern written by millions of years of slow cooling inside an asteroid core, different on every band we make. The offset placement keeps the design modern and asymmetric, while the brushed tungsten finish hides the micro-scuffs of daily wear that would show on a polished ring. It is our most-reviewed design for a simple reason: it wears like a tool and reads like a story.

Engineered from premium tungsten carbide for exceptional durability, your Regalia Ring requires minimal yet specific care. Maintain its finish by cleaning with mild soap and warm water, followed by drying with a soft, lint-free cloth. To preserve the ring's integrity, avoid contact with harsh chemicals or abrasives and store it separately when not worn; proper care ensures your ring retains its strength and refined luster for years to come.

At Regalia Rings, your satisfaction is paramount. We accept returns of unused items in their original packaging within the designated time frame, though please note that return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility and personalized items are final sale. Yes. The offset inlay is carved from a solid block of genuine Muonionalusta meteorite, an iron-nickel meteorite recovered in northern Sweden that formed over 4 billion years ago. Because it is cut from real meteorite, no two inlay patterns are identical.
Tungsten carbide rates about 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — surpassed only by diamond — so the brushed band resists scratching far better than gold, silver, or titanium. It is built to keep its shape and finish through everyday wear.
No. Tungsten carbide is too hard to be cut and resized. Please confirm your size with a ring sizer before ordering; if the fit isn't right, contact us about an exchange within the 30-day return window.
Wipe the ring dry after it gets wet, keep it away from chlorine and harsh cleaners, and store it dry. Iron-nickel meteorite can develop surface patina if left damp, so a quick wipe-down after washing your hands is the main habit that matters.
