Our Workshop and the Materials That Define Us

At Regalia Rings, everything starts with a practical assumption: a wedding band should be able to live the same life as the person wearing it. We don’t approach rings as decorative objects meant to be taken off at the first sign of work. Instead, we focus on materials that strike a workable balance between durability, weight, and long-term wear. Some materials look impressive on day one but don’t age well. Those don’t make it into our shop.

From the Lathe to Your Hand

Our story wasn’t mapped out on a whiteboard. It began in 2021 with a small lathe and a handful of requests from friends and family who wanted something tougher than traditional gold. Coming from a machining background, I was already familiar with how metals respond to stress, heat, and repeated contact, and how small tolerances make a big difference when something is worn all day.

As more people saw those early rings, the requests grew. What stood out was consistency—many men were looking for a band that felt solid, looked distinctive, and didn’t require special handling. We’ve expanded since then, but the way we approach each piece hasn’t changed. The machinist’s mindset is still there: if the structure isn’t right, nothing else matters.

Working with Non-Traditional Materials

We select materials based on performance first and appearance second. A ring has to earn its place through use, not just design.

Tungsten & Titanium: Tungsten Carbide is one of the most scratch-resistant materials we work with, though its density means it feels heavier on the hand than many expect. Titanium offers a different experience it’s lighter, flexible enough to absorb impacts, and generally well-tolerated by sensitive skin. Over time, titanium tends to show small marks from wear, which some people appreciate as part of the ring’s history.

Meteorite & Dinosaur Bone: These materials require patience. Authentic Gibeon meteorite has a Widmanstätten pattern that only appears after careful etching, and even then, it doesn’t always reveal itself the same way twice. Dinosaur bone behaves similarly. Because these materials are natural and unpredictable, variation is unavoidable. In practice, that’s also what makes each ring distinct.

Antler & Wood: We work only with stabilized wood and ethically sourced antler. Stabilization is critical; without it, moisture becomes a long-term problem. Even with proper treatment, natural inlays benefit from a bit more awareness in daily use. We make that clear so expectations are set early.

A Straightforward Approach to Quality

Every ring that leaves our shop reflects where we came from. We understand that a wedding band carries meaning beyond its materials, but it also has to perform. That’s why we’re direct about what each material does well and where its limits are. The Lifetime Warranty isn’t a marketing line—it’s there because these designs have been tested through real wear, not just theory.

We don’t see ourselves as selling jewelry in the traditional sense. We build small, wearable pieces of engineering meant to be used every day. Whether it’s a clean industrial metal or a material with a much older story behind it, the goal stays the same: make something that lasts.
