Return Policy
Return Policy
We want you to be confident in your choice, but because we work with materials like dinosaur bone and meteorite that are technically complex to stabilize, we have to follow specific guidelines to keep our studio running. If a piece isn't quite right, we’ll work with you to resolve it within the practical limits of our craft.
Eligibility:
For a return to be viable, the ring must be unused and in its original state. Once a tungsten band is scuffed or the resin finish on a fossil inlay is marked by daily wear, we can’t restore it to a "new" condition for another client. Please keep in mind that any personalized or custom-built items—where we’ve cut a specific specimen for your order—cannot be returned unless there’s a legitimate manufacturing defect or it arrived damaged.
Time Frame:
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to let us know if you need to return the item. After that 30-day window, we’ve found it’s too difficult to verify the ring’s history or the environment it was kept in, so we are unable to process refunds or exchanges past that point.
Return Process:
To get started, email us at [contact email] with your order number and a brief note on the situation. We prefer to handle these directly so we can pull your original build specs and provide the correct instructions for getting the ring back to our Canadian studio safely.
Return Shipping:
Unless we sent a defective item or made an error on the build, you’ll be responsible for the return shipping costs. We strongly suggest using a trackable service and getting insurance; these materials are rare, and if the package is lost in transit, we aren't able to issue a refund for an item we haven't received.
Refunds:
Once the ring is back on our bench, we’ll inspect the inlay and the metal channels for any signs of wear. If it passes inspection, we’ll send you an email and process the credit back to your original payment method. You should usually see the funds show up within a few business days, depending on your bank's specific processing times.
Exchanges:
If you need a different size or a different inlay style, reach out so we can check our current stock of stabilized materials. Because alternative metals like Tungsten and Titanium cannot be resized, an exchange usually means we are building a completely new ring for you.
Damaged or Defective Items:
If the ring arrives with a flaw in the metal or a structural issue in the fossil stabilization, contact us immediately with clear photos. We’ll prioritize a replacement build or a full refund to make it right.
Non-Returnable Items:
We cannot accept returns on gift cards, items purchased during a clearance or sale event, or any bespoke pieces where we used a specific fossil fragment at your request. Once those rare materials are allocated and cut, they are considered final sale.
International Returns:
The same 30-day policy applies worldwide. However, please be aware that any customs duties, VAT, or local taxes you paid to receive the item are handled by your government and are not refundable by us. You will also be responsible for any duties triggered by shipping the item back to Canada.
If you have any concerns about a material or the fit before you order, please reach out. It’s much easier to address technical questions before the material is cut.
